Mayes Brian died peacefully at hospital 14th October 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved Son of the late Nelly and Billy.Loving brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. R.I.P. Brian will arrive home to 2 Marchioness Street on Friday (Afternoon). Brian will leave on Monday 20th October at 2.30pm for a Requiem Mass in St. Peter’s Cathedral at 3pm followed by a service in Roselawn Crematorium at 5.20pm. Family flowers only. I have known Brian Mayes for 47 years. He was always a quiet and unassuming man who had an extraordinary talent for making sweets. In another time & place Brian could have been a millionaire. His talent for toffees, yellow man, fudge, caramel was truly wonderful and he loved to surprise us with these little gifts. He was a man who lived his life on his own terms without complaint and just dandering along at his own pace. I send my sincere condolence to his sister and all his family.
