Garland Nicholas, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family 5th September 2021. Beloved son of the late John and Theresa, a loving partner, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. R.I.P. Nicholas remains will leave his late home 20 Ardmore Park on Friday 10th September at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Michael the Archangel Church followed by a service in Roselawn Crematorium on Saturday 11th September at 10am. My Mum was listening to the mass at Clonard on Sunday, when Nicholas' passing was announced, and she wondered if there was a connection, as her grandfather was called Nicholas Garland. We googled for info, and found the announcement that Nicholas was the son of the late John and Theresa Garland. So we assume it is the same family - John Garland was the brother of my Mum's Mum, Kathleen Lavery, nee Garland. My Mum (now 82) is Kathleen's eldest daughter, Marie (christened Mary), and is Nicholas' cousin.
